Understanding the Downgrade Process

- Your current paid features will remain active until the end of your current billing cycle
- You will not be charged for the next billing cycle
- At the end of your current billing cycle, your store will automatically transition to the Free plan
- No manual action is required after confirming the downgrade
What Happens After Downgrading
When your store transitions to a diffrent plan, several changes will occur:
Feature Limitations
The smaller plans have certain limitations compared to paid plans:
- Limited number of products
- Limited staff accounts (typically only one)
- Reduced GMV limit (Gross Merchandise Volume)
- Some advanced features may be disabled
Data Retention
When downgrading to a smaller plan:
- Your store data is preserved (products, orders, customers)
- Your store remains operational
- You can continue selling within the Free plan limitations
Upgrading Again Later
If you decide to upgrade again in the future:
- You can upgrade to any larger plan at any time
- The upgrade takes effect immediately
- You'll immediately regain access to all paid features
- You'll be billed for the new plan right away
Alternatives to Cancellation
Before canceling your subscription, consider these alternatives:
Downgrade to a Lower-Tier Paid Plan
If the current plan is too expensive but you still need more features than the Free plan offers:
- Navigate to Settings → Billing
- Click on the Change plan button
- Select a lower-tier paid plan that meets your needs
- Follow the prompts to confirm your change
Pause Your Store Temporarily
If you need a temporary break but plan to resume selling later:
- Keep your current plan
- Enable maintenance mode to pause customer access
- When ready to resume, simply disable maintenance mode
This option maintains all your current features and settings while temporarily stopping new orders.
